🔐 Encryption & Data Protection
Your data is protected using military-grade encryption at every stage:
In Transit
All communication uses TLS 1.2+ encryption, ensuring data cannot be intercepted when traveling between your device and our servers.
At Rest
Data stored in our systems is encrypted with AES-256, the same encryption used by governments and financial institutions.
🔑 Access Controls & Authentication
We strictly control who can access your data:
Role-Based Access: Employees only access data they need for their job.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Our team uses MFA via Microsoft Entra ID—even if someone steals a password, they can't access accounts without a second verification step.
Your Account Security: We strongly recommend you also enable MFA on your account for extra protection.

We monitor our systems 24/7 using advanced security tools:
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint – Detects and blocks threats in real-time
- Microsoft Sentinel – Monitors suspicious activity across our entire infrastructure

- Continuous Scanning – We test our systems daily for weaknesses
💻 Endpoint & Device Security
Ascensoft uses Microsoft Intune to manage and secure all company devices:
Secure Configuration: All devices are configured with security best practices.
Compliance Policies: Devices that don't meet security standards are automatically restricted from accessing data.
Remote Protection: If a device is lost or stolen, we can remotely wipe it to prevent unauthorized access.

Ascensoft services run on Microsoft Azure, one of the world's most secure cloud providers.
Azure meets global security certifications including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. Their infrastructure includes:

👥 Our Team & Training
Security is everyone's responsibility at Ascensoft:
- Data Protection Officer (DPO) – Oversees compliance with privacy laws
- Security Training – All employees receive regular security and privacy training
- Privacy Impact Assessments – We document how we protect data using Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager
🗑️ Data Retention & Secure Deletion
We don't keep your data longer than necessary:
When your data is no longer needed for our service or required by law, we securely delete it or anonymize it so it can never be traced back to you. This prevents any risk of unauthorized access to old data.
🚨 Incident Response & Breach Notification
If a security incident occurs, we respond quickly:
- Assessment – We immediately determine what happened and scope
- Cutomated Detection – Microsoft Defender and Sentinel detect threats immediately
- Containment – We stop the threat and prevent further damage
- Compliance – We follow Philippine Data Privacy Act requirements for breach notification

Use unique, complex passwords and change them regularly.

Turn on multi-factor authentication on your account for extra protection.
💻 Keep Devices Updated
Update your operating system, browsers, and apps regularly.
🚨 Report Issues
If you notice suspicious activity, report it immediately.
